    In 1678, Walter Wright came to the Chandler homestead and sought to shoot their horse, who he claimed had strayed into his lot the night before and caused 40 shillings worth of damage. William got into a tussle with Goodman Wright, who gashed him on the face with a knife during the fight. A month later both appeared in court.
