She immigrated in 1667 to Québec, Canada, after the death of her father with an estimated 150 livres for a dowry.1Marguerite was a Filles du Roi (King's Daughter). After Jacques' death, on 24 August 1671 in Québec City, Québec, Canada, Marguerite married Claude Carpentier, the son of Florent Carpentier and Marie Gerlet.
