Marie Pontonnier, the daughter of Urbain Pontonnier and Félicité Jamin. She was christened on 22 January 1643 in St-Vincent de Le Lude, Angers, Anjou, France. She immigrated in 1656 to Québec, Canada, after the death of her father. A contract for the marriage of Marie and Pierre Gadois was signed on 6 May 1657 in Montréal, Québec, Canada. It was drawn up by notary Saint-Père. The marriage of Marie and Pierre was annulled on 30 August 1660 by Monsignor Pétrée due to alleged infertility. It was said that a spurned suitor, René Besnard dit Bourjoly cast a spell at their wedding making them sterile. After three years of marriage and no children which met the canon law, Bishop Laval annulled the marriage. After the annulment, on 3 November 1660 Marie, at age 17, married second, Pierre Martin dit La Rivière, in Montréal, Québec, Canada. A contract for the marriage of Marie and Honoré Langlois dit Lachapelle was signed on 16 October 1661 in Montréal, Québec, Canada, drawn up by notary Basset. On 5 December 1661 Marie, at age 18, married third, Honoré Langlois dit Lachapelle, in Montréal, Québec, Canada. She was buried on 7 January 1718 in Pointe-aux-Trembles, Comté de Portneuf, Québec, Canada. |

Jeanne Bénard, the daughter of Rolin Bénard and Gabrielle Vitaille. She was born about 1644 in Paris, Ile-de-France, France. She immigrated on 25 May 1664 to Québec City, Québec, Canada, after her father's death. She sailed on the ship, Le Noir out of La Rochelle. Jeanne was a Filles du Roi (King's Daughter). She was buried on 11 March 1724 in Montréal, Québec, Canada.
