• Notes

  The only reference to Jean is in Tanguay (1888), and only in one place. He is listed as married to Agnès Gagnon the widow of Jean Roy, but neither he nor she appears under Gagnon nor Roy. The PRDH shows that the Agnès who married Jean-Baptiste Roy, married another man. I can only conclude that Tanguay is in error. [1, 2]
