After Anne's death, a contract for the marriage of Robert and Marie Chapelier was signed on 26 November 1649 in Québec City, Québec, Canada, drawn up by notary Audouart. Marie signed the contract, but Robert could not. On 29 November 1649 Robert, at age 42, married Marie Chapelier, in Québec City, Québec, Canada.
