Capt. Samuel Foote, the son of Pasco Foote. He was granted land in 1659 in Amesbury, Massachusetts. He received more land in 1660, 1662, and 1668. He was admitted as a townsman in 1660 in Amesbury, Massachusetts. Samuel took the Oath of Allegiance in 1677 in Amesbury, Massachusetts. He served between 1689 and 1690 as a Representative to the Massachusetts General Court. He was killed by torture after having been captured by Indians on Friday 7 July 1690 in Amesbury, Massachusetts.
