    History According to Rose Scully, "I can remember her taking me to school when I was in the first grade. At that time it was fairly common for girls to be kept at home after the elementary grades to help their mothers, and many never had the chance to go to high school. My mother was not very well, and Rege and I were still young. Besides that, we had the first grandchild, Marie, living at our house for a while. When I was in high school, Mary enrolled in a course in Baby Care and Obstetric Nursing at Roselia Hospital. She had just finished this course and had taken on a few cases when Margaret died and Jack came home with the children. Mary assumed complete charge of the baby and , thought the rest of us did what we could to help, most of the responsibility for Eileen's care fell on her also. It was Mary who attended the Kindergarten Mothers' Meetings, and it was she who got the children off to school every morning through elementary and high school. She also got breakfast every day for those of us who whet out to work and took on more and more of the housework and the cooking as Mother grew older and less able to help."  [5]
