     Thelma Elizabeth Soltesz was born on 3 January 1908 at Latrobe, Westmoreland County, Pennsylvania.2,3,4,5,6 She was the daughter of Jacob Soltész and Susanna Mary Török.1 Thelma Elizabeth Soltesz was christened on 12 January 1908 in the Saint Mary Byzantine Catholic Church, Bradenville, Westmoreland County, Pennsylvania. She was christened by the Rev. Stephen Gulovich.4 Her married name was Myers.

Thelma Elizabeth Soltesz married William Henry Myers, son of Joseph Lucas Myers and Anna Isabelle Geiger.7,8 Thelma, age 22, appeared on the US Census of 1930 living at Derry, Westmoreland County, Pennsylvania,in the household of her parents, Jacob and Susanna Mary Soltész.7 According to the Federal Census in 1930, Thelma was a waitress in a restaurant.7 Thelma, age 31 years, and William Myers, age 35 years, appeared on the US Census of 1940 at 10B Lloyd Avenue, Latrobe, Westmoreland County, Pennsylvania.9 Thelma, age 41 years, and William Myers, age 45 years, appeared on the US Census of 1950 on 23 Lloyd Avenue, Latrobe, Westmoreland County, Pennsylvania.10 Thelma Elizabeth Soltesz died on 31 May 1988 at Oak Hill Home of Rest and Care, Greensburg, Westmoreland County, Pennsylvania, at age 80.2,3,5,6 Thelma's obituary of 2 June 1988, reads:

Mrs. Thelma E. Myers, 80, formerly of 236 Gertrude St., Latrobe, died d Tuesday, May 31, 1988, in Oak Hill Home of Rest and Care, Greensburg RD 7.

She was born Jan. 3, 1908, in Latrobe, a daughter of' the late Jacob and Susan Turok Soltesz.

She was a member of Holy Family Church.

She was predeceased by her husband, William "Ozzie"' Myers, March 30, 1985; one brother, Frank Soltesz; four sisters, Mrs. Emma Musick, Mrs. Catherine Dowden, Mrs. Margaret Makary and a twin, Helen.

Surviving are two brothers, Theodore J. Soltesz and Paul J. Soltesz, both of Blairsville; one niece with whom she made her home for the past six months, Mrs. Rose Marie Rohrbacher of Greensburg, and several other nieces and nephews.

Friends will be received from 3 to 5 and 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday in Richard W. Dell Home for Funerals, Latrobe. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Friday in Holy Family Church, Latrobe.

Interment will be in Unity Cemetery, Unity Township.

Compeller's Notes:
Birth: She used Thelma most of her life, but in 1967, she filed a delayed birth certificate and listed her name as Vilma. It was not a typo, as she signed her name as Vilma Soltesz Myers.
