Tonantius Ferreolus II Vis Clarisimu was the son of Tonantius Ferreolus I ~ Prefect of Gaul and Papinailla. He was a Gallo-Roman Senator of Narbonne and a friend and relative of Sidonius Apollinaris.1,2,3 Tonantius lived at Narbonne, France.1
Tonantius Ferreolus II Vis Clarisimu married Industria, daughter of Omnatius of Auvergne.1 He was a Roman commander at the Battle of Châlons in 451. This victory of the Roman general, Aëtius, with his Gothic allies, had over the Huns, under Attila, was the last victory of imperial Rome.1,4 He was elected Consul in 453.2 Tonantius lived in 469 at Rome.1,2
