Helen M J Brindle
     Helen M. J. Brindle was born on 2 October 1907 at Manor, Westmoreland County, Pennsylvania.1,2,3,4 She was the daughter of John George Brindle and Ethel McMichael. Helen, age 2, appeared on the US Census of 1910 living at Cleveland Ave, Manor, Westmoreland County, Pennsylvania,in the household of her parents, John George and Ethel Brindle.5 Helen, age 12, appeared on the US Census of 1920 living at 123 South Ninth Street, Connellsville, Fayette County, Pennsylvania,in the household of her parents, John George and Ethel Brindle.6 Her married name was McInnes. Helen graduated, in 1928, from Connellsville High School, Connellsville, Fayette County, Pennsylvania.7 Helen, age 22, appeared on the US Census of 1930 living at 123 South Smith Street, Connellsville, Fayette County, Pennsylvania,in the household of her parents, John George and Brindle.8

Helen M. J. Brindle married Hugh McInnes, son of James McInnes and Ella Gillespie.1 Helen, age 32 years, and Hugh, age 55 years, appeared on the US Census of 1940 on 408 East 8th Avenue, Tarentum, Allegheny County, Pennsylvania.9 In 1950, the year Helen died, she lived at Tarentum, Allegheny County, Pennsylvania.2 She died on 9 June 1950 at Allegheny Valley Hospital, Harrison Township, Allegheny County, Pennsylvania, at age 42 from ponts caine anesthesia during operation for intestinal obstruction.1,7,2,3 Helen was buried on 12 June 1950 at Saint Johns Union Cemetery, Mount Pleasant Township, Westmoreland County, Pennsylvania.2,3 Helen's obituary of 12 June 1950, reads:

Mrs. Helen Brindle McInness, 43, of Tarentum, a former resident of Connellsville, died Friday afternoon.

She was the daughter of the late Mr. And Mrs. John Brindle. Deceased graduated from Connellsville High School with the Class of 1928. She was a member of the Greenwood Methodist Church.

Surviving are her husband, Hugh McInness; and four brothers, George of Chicago, Ill., Howard of near Pittsburgh, Robert of Tarentum and Samuel of Connellsville.

The funeral will be held Tuesday.
