     Jonathan Whelpley was born circa 1758 at Stamford, Connecticut Colony.1 He was the son of Darling Whelpley and Abigail Peck. Jonathanmoved to New Brunswick, British North America, after 1783 joining his family. He died in 1809 at sea off Indonesia.1
