Françoise Godin

     Françoise Godin was born on 20 September 1831 at Caraquet, Gloucester County, New Brunswick, British North America.¹ She was the daughter of David Godin and Clotilde Dugas.¹ Françoise, age 27, appeared on the Canadian Census of 1861 at Caraquet, Gloucester County, New Brunswick, British North America, in the household of her parents, David Godin and Clotilde Dugas.²

Françoise Godin, age 33, married Luc Boudreau, age 24 , son of Pierre-André Boudreau and Angèle Landry, on 22 February 1865 at the Caraquet, Gloucester County, New Brunswick, Canada. Luc and Françoise had no children, but raised Basilice Boudreau, the daughter of Guillaume and Marie (Godin) Boudreau, who was orphaned at the age of two.


Françoise Godin, age 39 years, and Luc Boudreau, age 29 years appeared on the Canadian Census of 1871 at Caraquet, Gloucester County, New Brunswick, Canada.³ Françoise, age 49 years, and Luc, age 39 years, appeared on the Census of 1881 at Caraquet, Gloucester County, New Brunswick, Canada. .⁴ Françoise Godin, age 59 years, and Luc Boudreau, age 49 years appeared on the Canadian Census of 1891 at Caraquet, Gloucester County, New Brunswick, Canada.⁵ Françoise Godin died on 3 April 1893 at Caraquet, Gloucester County, New Brunswick, Canada, at age 61.⁶
