     Percival. He was born on 7 February 1878 at Lepreau, New Brunswick, Canada.1,2,3,4,5,6 He was the son of Captain David C. Whelpley and Harriet Jane Pangbourne. Percival Medley Whelpley went by the nick-name of Percy. He immigrated on 1 December 1888 to the United States.7,6,8,9

Percival Medley Whelpley, age 21, married Emma A. Rawson, daughter of John L. Rawson and Luella M. Cutts, on 17 June 1899 at the Claremont, New Hampshire.

Percival, age 21 years, and Emma Whelpley appeared on the US Census of 1900 at Newport, New Hampshire.6 According to the Federal Census in 1900, Percival was a weaver in a woolen mill.6 He was naturalized on 31 October 1902 at Enfield, New Hampshire.7 On 12 September 1918, Percival registered for the World War I draft, while living at Henniker, New Hampshire. His age as 40; and his employer as the Boston and Maine Railroad.2 Percival, age 41 years, and Emma Whelpley appeared on the US Census of 1920 at Henniker, New Hampshire.9 According to the Federal Census in 1920, Percival was a telegrapher for the railroad.9 Percival, age 51 years, and Emma appeared on the US Census of 1930 at 29 Court Street, Newport, New Hampshire.14 According to the Federal Census in 1930, Percival was a ticket agent in a railroad station.14 In 1934 Percival lived at Claremont, New Hampshire, according to the Claremont, New Hampshire, City Directory, 1934.15 Percival, age 61 years, appeared on the US Census of 1940 at Newport, New Hampshire, He was listed as a widower.16 According to the Federal Census in 1940, Percival was a telegrapher for the railroad. In 1942, Percival registered for the World War II draft, giving his address as at 6 Gove Street, Milford, New Hampshire; his age as 64; and his employer as the Boston & Maine Railroad.3 He died on 12 April 1960 at home on 668 Amherst Street, Hillsborough, Hillsborough County, New Hampshire, at age 82 from arteriosclerotic heart disease.4,5 Percival was buried on 14 April 1960 at Pine Grove Cemetery, Manchester, Hillsborough County, New Hampshire.4,5
