     George A. Burnett was born on 3 March 1849 at Johnson, Vermont.1,2,3,4 He was the son of François Bonin and Zoe Babin dite LaCroix. George A. Burnett was christened on 10 September 1849 in the Église St-Athanase-de-Bleury, Iberville, Québec, Canada. He was christened George Bonin.1 George, age 1, appeared on the US Census of 1850 living at Johnson, Vermont,in the household of his parents, Franklin and Zoe Burnett.2 George, age 11, appeared on the US Census of 1860 living at Alburgh, Vermont,in the household of his parents, Franklin and Zoe Burnett.5

George A. Burnett married Delia Patnode say 1877.

George, age 30 years, and Delia Burnett, age 26 years, appeared on the US Census of 1880 at Altona, Clinton County, New York.6 According to the Federal Census in 1880, George was a wheelwright.6

George A. Burnett married Esther M. Rule, daughter of Paul François Rule and Mary Provost, say 1899.

George, age 60 years, and Esther Burnett, age 45 years, appeared on the US Census of 1910 on Cross Street, Newport, New Hampshire.8 According to the Federal Census in 1910, George was a wheelwright.8 George, age 70 years, and Esther Burnett, age 55 years, appeared on the US Census of 1920 at 572 Belkamp Avenue, Newport, New Hampshire.9 According to the Canadian Census in 1920, George was a carpenter.9 He died on 27 November 1925 at Carrie F. Wright Hospital, Newport, New Hampshire, at age 76 from a hemorrhage of the bowels.3,4,10,11 George was buried after 27 November 1925 at Pine Grove Cemetery, Newport, New Hampshire, in section c, lot 4.3,4 George's obituary of 6 December 1925, reads:

George A. Burnett


Word has been received of the death of George A. Burnett, father of Mrs. Charles Paquin, of East Hartford, at the Carrie F. Wright 27. He was a resident of Newport, Hospital, Newport, N. H., November and was 77 years old. He N. H., his wife; three sons, Louts and leaves Charles Burnett of Jamestown, N.Y., Ernest Burnett Newport; four and daughters, Pauline Burnett of Newport and the Misses Hazel, Florence and Mrs. Charles Paquin; two brothers.
