Marcelline Bonin

     Marcelline Bonin was born on 16 January 1830 at Iberville, Lower Canada, British North America.^1,2 She was christened on 17 January 1830 in the Église St-Athanase-de-Bleury, Iberville, Lower Canada, British North America.^1,2 She was the daughter of François Bonin and Marie Lanier.¹ As of 23 February 1842,her married name was Daragon.^1,3,2

Marcelline Bonin and Guillaume Daragon immigrated in 1860.³ Marcelline Bonin anglicized her name to Marcelline Dragger after moving to Vermont.⁴ Marcelline, age 29 years, and William Dragger, age 34 years, appeared on the US Census of 1860 at Alburgh, Vermont.⁴ Marcelline, age 39 years, and William Dragger, age 44 years, appeared on the US Census of 1870 at Alburgh, Vermont. Marcelline's name is listed as "Louisa."⁵ Marcelline, age 69 years, and William Dragger, age 74 years, appeared on the US Census of 1900 at Alburg (now Alburgh), Vermont. Marcelline's name is listed as "Maggie."³ She died on 10 December 1902 at Salem, Massachusetts, at age 72.^2,6,7 Marcelline was buried at Saint Mary's Cemetery, Salem, Massachusetts.²
