Jean-Baptiste Giroux was born on 14 May 1752 at La Prairie, Québec, New France.1 He was christened on 15 May 1752 at St-Constant Paroisse, Saint-Constant, Québec, New France.1 He was the son of Jean-Baptiste Giroux and Marie-Catherine Longtin.1
Jean-Baptiste Giroux, age 22, married Marie-Desanges Laporte, age 21 , daughter of Jean-Baptiste Laporte and Marie-Jeanne-Anne Besset, on 13 February 1775 at St-Joseph Paroisse, Chambly, Québec, British North America.1 Jean-Baptiste Giroux died on 3 May 1824 at Saint-Philippe, Lower Canada, British North America, at age 71.1 He was buried on 5 May 1824 at St-Jean-François-Régis Paroisse, Saint-Philippe, Lower Canada, British North America.1
