Esther Cheney was born on 2 October 1779 at Orange, Massachusetts.1 She was the daughter of Levi Cheney and Mary Hill.1 As of 20 June 1803,her married name was Mayo.1
Esther Cheney, age 23, married Benjamin Mayo, age 28 , son of Benjamin Mayo and Dorothy Goddard, on 20 June 1803 at the Orange, Massachusetts.
Esther Cheney died on 22 June 1860 at Orange, Massachusetts, at age 80 from consumption.1 She was buried at North Orange Cemetery, Orange, Massachusetts. Esther's epitaph reads:
