     Aaron Oakes was born on 31 August 1792 at Suffolk County, New York.1 He was the son of Captain John W. Oakes and Hannah Ann Sells.1 On 23 December 1813. he was admitted to the Almshouse in New York City. He was discharged 25 February 1814.2
