Louis Briand, age 23, married Marie-Josèphe Bonin, age 18 , daughter of Louis Bonin and Marie-Anne Lemaire, on 11 January 1779 at the Église de Saint-François-Xavier, Verchères, Québec, British North America.
Louis married second on 23 November 1801 at Notre-Dame-du-Rosaire Paroisse, Saint-Hyacinthe, Lower Canada, British North America, Amable Patenaude, the daughter of Toussaint Patenaudeand Marie-Thérèse-Charlotte Vertefeuille. Amablewas born 10 May 1762 and christened the next day at Verchères, Québec, New France. She died on 13 February 1825, and was buried from Église de Notre-Dame-du-Rosaire, Saint-Hyacinthe Lower Canada, British North America on 14 February 1825. She had been married previously to Louis-Charles Couillau and Pierre Richer. They had no children together.1 He died on 7 August 1810 at Saint-Hyacinthe, Lower Canada, British North America, at age 55.1 He was buried on 9 August 1810 from the Église de Notre-Dame-du-Rosaire, Saint-Hyacinthe, Lower Canada, British North America.1
