Pierre Bernard was christened on 23 May 1698 in the Saint-Étienne-du-Bois, Vendée, Pays de la Loire, France.1 He was the son of Mathurin Bernard and Marie Amiot.1
Pierre Bernard, age 31, married Marie-Geneviève Giroux, age 22 , daughter of Raphael Giroux and Marie-Madeleine Vachon, on 5 February 1730 at the Nativité-de-Notre-Dame Paroisse, Beauport, Québec, New France.
Pierre married second on 12 September 1763 at Église Saint-Charles-Borromée, Charlesbourg, Québec, British North America, Marie-Charlotte Valin, the daughter of Charles Valin and Marie-Louise Darveau. She was born about 1725. She died 2 January 1791 and was buried the next day from St-Charles-Borromée Paroisse, Charlesbourg, Lower Canada, British North America. She had prevously been married to François Paquet.1 He died on 15 January 1773 at Charlesbourg, Québec, British North America, at age 74.1 Pierre was buried on 16 January 1773 at Église Saint-Charles-Borromée, Charlesbourg, Québec, British North America.1
