Martha Emery

     Martha Emery was born on 6 July 1726 at Kittery, Province of Massachusetts Bay (Maine).^2,3 She was the daughter of Simon Emery and Martha Lord.

Martha Emery, age 17, married Elder Ebenezer Lord, age 21 , son of Captain Samuel Lord and Martha Wentworth, on 22 October 1743 at Kittery, Province of Massachusetts Bay (Maine).^2,3 As of 22 October 1743,her married name was Lord.¹ Martha and Ebenezer were received into the church at First Church of Berwick, Berwick, Province of Massachusetts Bay (Maine), on 9 August 1745.³ Martha and Ebenezer were dismissed from at First Church of Berwick, Berwick, Province of Massachusetts Bay (Maine), on 23 March 1755. to help form the Second or Blackberry Church of Berwick.³ Martha was mentioned in the will of her father, Simon Emery on 8 November 1760.³ Martha Emery died on 5 May 1773 at Berwick, Province of Massachusetts Bay (Maine), at age 46.^2,4,5,3 She was buried at Lords Cemetery, Berwick, Maine.
