Abigail Chaffee was born on 2 July 1737 at Woodstock, Connecticut.1 She was the daughter of Joel Chaffee and Elizabeth Briknell.1 As of 29 May 1767,her married name was Goodell.1
Abigail Chaffee, age 29, married Nathaniel Goodell, age 26 , son of John Goodell and Mary Bugbee, on 29 May 1767 at the Woodstock, Connecticut.
Abigail and Nathanielmoved to Belchertown, Massachusetts, in 1777.1 Abigail joined the church at Belchertown, Massachusetts, in 1783 having been dismissed from Woodstock, Connecticut.1 She died on 7 June 1811 at Belchertown, Massachusetts, at age 73 of lung consumption.1
