     Dorothy Brown was born on 1 January 1705 at Billerica, Massachusetts.3,4 She was the daughter of Captain George Brown and Sarah Kidder.2

Dorothy married first on 29 December 1729 at Billerica, Massachusetts, Samuel Crosby, the son of Samuel and Hannah Crosby. He was born 4 October 1689 in Billerica, Massachusetts. He died 23 January 1749 in Shrewsbury, Massachusetts and is buried in the Mountain View Cemetery, Shrewsbury, Massachusetts. His gravestone inscription reads:
