     Marie-Anne Poulin was christened on 1 January 1641 at Trois-Rivières, Québec, New France.1,2 She was the daughter of Claude Poulin and Jeanne Mercier. A contract for the marriage of Marie-Anne Poulin and Julien Mercier was signed on 7 October 1652. Marie's father agreed to build a barn 40 by 20 feet with an eight foot hen-house.3

Marie-Anne Poulin, age 13, married Julien Mercier, age 32 , son of François Mercier and Roberte Cornillau, on 18 January 1654 at Québec City, Québec, New France.1,3 Marie-Anne Poulin died on 16 July 1716 at Sainte-Anne-de-Beaupré, Québec, New France, at age 75.3
