Jetté was born on 26 October 1790 at Longueuil, Québec, British North America, the twin of Ursula.1 He was christened on 27 October 1790 at St-Antoine-de-Padoue Paroisse, Longueuil, Québec, British North America.1 He was the son of Étienne Jetté and Marie Bonvouloir dite Desillieres.1

Nicolas C. Jetté, age 35, married Esther Esther Giroux. on 31 July 1826 at St-Joseph Paroisse, Chambly, Lower Canada, British North America.
