Simon Mongineau was born circa 1677 at Varennes-sur-Amance, Haute-Marne, Grand Est, France.1,2 He was the son of Claude Mongino and Catherine Moineau.1 Simon was known to be living, age 24, in 1701.1
Simon married first on 6 February 1701 at Notre-Dame-de-Montréal Paroisse, Montréal, Québec, New France, Marie-Anne Goupil, the daughter of Nicholas Goupil and Marie Pelletier. She was born 7 March 1653 in Sillery, Québec, New France, and died 11 August 1741 in Montréal, Québec, New France. They had no children.1,2
Simon Mongineau married Marie-Barbe Jetté, age 43 , daughter of Nicolas Jetté and Antoinette-Catherine Giard, on 22 October 1742 at Notre-Dame-de-Montréal Paroisse, Montréal, Québec, New France. They had no children together.2,3 Simon Mongineau died on 26 June 1743 at Montréal, Québec, New France. He was buried on 27 June 1743 at Notre-Dame-de-Montréal Paroisse, Montréal, Québec, New France.
