     Laurent Benoît was born on 9 August 1697 at Boucherville, Québec, New France.1,2 He was christened on 10 August 1697 at Boucherville, Québec, New France.1 He was the son of Laurent Benoît dit Livernois and Marie-Françoise Tétreau.1 Laurent, a voyageur, was out west say 1717.1
