Cheryl A. (Whitney) Travis
     Cheryl A. Whitney was born on 14 October 1947 at Greenfield, Massachusetts.1,3,4,5 She was the daughter of Burton F. Whitney and Julia I. Newton.2 Cheryl, age 2, appeared on the US Census of 1950 living at Welcome Road Going West, Washington, Norfolk County, Virginia,in the household of her Mother, Julia I. Whitney.6 In 1965, Cheryl graduated from Pioneer Valley Regional School, Northfield, Massachusetts.3

Cheryl married first, _____ Rubec.3 As of 17 February 2001,her married name was Travis.1

Cheryl A. Whitney, age 53, married Thomas Walter Travis, age 68 , son of Andrew Alphonse Travis and Mary Josephine Burke, on 17 February 2001 at Brattleboro, Vermont.1,7 Cheryl A. Whitney was retired in 2011 from wTe Recycling.3 She died on 24 March 2022 at Charlene Manor Healthcare Center, Greenfield, Massachusetts, at age 74.3,4 Cheryl's obituary of 28 March 2022, reads:

GREENFIELD, MA — Cheryl A. Travis, 74 of Greenfield, Ma. died Thursday evening (3- 24-2022) at Charlene Manor Healthcare Center, Greenfield, Ma. She was born in Greenfield on October 14, 1947 the daughter of Burton and Julia (Newton) Whitney. Cheryl was educated in Bernardston schools and was a 1965 graduate Pioneer Valley Regional School. She attended Cedarville College in Ohio, and Greenfield Community College. She was employed by wTe Recycling in accounting from 1979 until her retirement in 2011. She volunteered for the Franklin County Relay for Life, and at Baystate Franklin Medical Center in Greenfield. She enjoyed dancing, golfing, bowling and reading.

She is survived by her husband Thomas W. Travis and son David Rubeck, both of Greenfield and her grandson Nicholas B. Rubeck of Greenfield , Ma and granddaughter Shelby Orloski of Deerfield, Ma. She is also survived by her sisters, Gail Leach and her husband Peter of Parker, CO. and Cynthia Dean of Cumberland, RI. and her brother, Wayne Whitney and his wife Melody of Palisade, CO.

There will be a graveside service at Center Cemetery, Bernardston, Ma. On Monday, April 25, 2022, at 11:00 A.M.
