She was the daughter of Lt. Edward Woodman and Joanna Salway. As of 17 October 1666,her married name was Lowell.
Ruth Woodman, age 20, married Benjamin Lowell, age 24 , son of John Lowell and Elizabeth Goodale, on 17 October 1666 at Newbury, Essex County, Massachusetts Bay Colony.
Ruth and Benjamin joined the Church at Newbury in 1674.2 Ruth was known to be living on 2 February 1724 at Newbury, Province of Massachusetts Bay.2
