     Sarah Burnham was born on 12 December 1654 at Dover, Colony of New Hampshire.1,2,3,4 She was the daughter of Robert Burnham and Frances Hills.

Sarah married first in 1671, Lt. James Huckins. He died during the attack on Dover in 1694.

During the attack of 1694, in which her first husband was slain, Sarah was carried into captivity, until released a year later at Fort Androscoggin.5 As of 7 October 1700,her married name was Woodman.

Sarah Burnham, age 45, married Captain John Woodman, son of Lt. Edward Woodman and Joanna Salway, on 7 October 1700 at Dover, Colony of New Hampshire.

Sarah Burnham died on 14 October 1705 at Dover, Colony of New Hampshire, at age 50.3,4 Sarah was buried at Forest Glade Cemetery, Somersworth, Strafford County, New Hampshire.4
