     Mary Sawyer was born on 20 January 1672 at Newbury, Massachusetts Bay Colony.1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8,9 She was the daughter of Lt. Samuel Sawyer and Mary Emery. As of 29 June 1702,her married name was Woodman.

Mary Sawyer, age 30, married Edward Woodman, age 32 , son of Edward Woodman and Mary Goodridge, on 29 June 1702 at Newbury, Province of Massachusetts Bay.

Mary was mentioned in the will of her husband, Edward Woodman, on 17 July 1717 at Newbury, Province of Massachusetts Bay.12 Mary Sawyer died on 21 January 1744/45 at Newbury, Province of Massachusetts Bay, at age 73.2,11,3,9 She was buried at Bridge Street Cemetery, West Newbury, Massachusetts. Mary's epitaph reads:
