     Joshua Hale was born on 17 March 1701 at Newbury, Province of Massachusetts Bay.2,1,3,4,5,6 He was the son of Captain Thomas Hale and Sarah Northend.1

Joshua Hale, age 25, married Hannah Woodman, age 23 , daughter of Deacon Archelaus Woodman and Hannah Swett, on 13 October 1726 at Newbury, Province of Massachusetts Bay.

Joshua was a farmer.10 He died on 20 April 1742 at Newbury, Province of Massachusetts Bay, at age 41.3,1,10,6 He was buried at Newbury Neck Cemetery, Newbury, Massachusetts. Joshua's epitaph reads:

His estate was administered by his wife, Hannah, on 17 May 1742 at Essex County, Province of Massachusetts Bay.1 His estate was inventoried on 5 July 1742 at Newbury, Province of Massachusetts Bay, and valued at £694 14/4d.1
