     Aloysius Francis Gallagher was born on 1 June 1884 at Binghamton, Broome County, New York.^1,2,3,4,5,6 He was the son of Francis Gallagher and Anna Elizabeth Donovan. Aloysius, age 16, appeared on the US Census of 1900 living at 235 Oak Street, Binghamton, Broome County, New York,in the household of his parents, Frank and Anna Elizabeth Gallagher.⁴ According to the census in 1900, Aloysius was a grocery clerk.⁴ Aloysius, age 21, appeared on the New York State Census of 1905 living at Binghamton, Broome County, New York,in the household of his parents, Francis and Anna Elizabeth Gallagher.⁷ Aloysius, age 26, appeared on the US Census of 1910 living at 235 Oak Street, Binghamton, Broome County, New York,in the household of his parents, Frank and Anna Elizabeth Gallagher.⁸ According to the Federal Census in 1910, Aloysius was the manager of an ice store.⁸ He and Elizabeth Irene Hennessey obtained a marriage license on 13 May 1913 at Binghamton, Broome County, New York.⁹

Aloysius Francis Gallagher, age 28, married Elizabeth Irene Hennessey, age 28 , daughter of Dennis J Hennessey and Mary Ellen Carroll, on 14 May 1913.¹ Aloysius and Elizabeth, appeared on the New York State Census of 1915 on 15 Lathrop Avenue, Binghamton, Broome County, New York.¹⁰ On 10 September 1918, Aloysius registered for the World War I draft, while living at 15 Latrop Avenue, Binghamton, Broome County, New York, giving his age as 34 and his employer as the A & T. Tea Company.³ Aloysius, age 35 years, and Elizabeth, age 35 years, appeared on the US Census of 1920 on 15 Lathrop Avenue, Binghamton, Broome County, New York.¹¹ According to the Federal Census in 1920, Aloysius was the general superintendent of a tea store.¹¹ Aloysius, age 45 years, and Elizabeth, age 45 years, appeared on the US Census of 1930 on 937 Grandview Street, Scranton, Pennsylvania.¹² According to the Federal Census in 1930, Aloysius was a superintendent of a chain store.¹² Aloysius, age 55 years, and Elizabeth, age 55 years, appeared on the US Census of 1940 on 236 White Morsh Street, Haverford, Delaware County, Pennsylvania.^13,14 According to the Federal Census in 1940, Aloysius was a unit head.¹³ In 1942 he became the director of the Great Atlantic and Pacific Tea Company.¹⁵ According to the Scranton, Pennsylvania, City Directory, 1942, he lived in Scranton, Lackawanna County, Pennsylvania, in 1942.¹⁶ On in 1943, Aloysius registered for the World War II draft, while living at 4507 Marvine Avenue, Drexel Hill, Delaware County, Pennsylvania, giving his age as 57 and his employer as the A&P Tea Company.⁶ Aloysius, age 65 years, and Elizabeth, age 65 years, appeared on the US Census of 1950 on 356 Dermond Street, Upper Darby Township, Delaware County, Pennsylvania.¹⁷ In 1970, the year Aloysius died, he lived at Drexel Hill, Delaware County, Pennsylvania.² He died on 27 January 1970 at Drexel Hill, Delaware County, Pennsylvania, at age 85.^5,2,1 Aloysius's obituary of 29 January 1970, reads:
