     Thomas Gaughan Jr. was born on 15 November 1881 at Pennsylvania.1,2 He was the son of Thomas Gaughan and Winifred Noble. Thomas, age 19, appeared on the US Census of 1900 living at 5 Hickory Street, Archbald, Lackawanna County, Pennsylvania,in the household of his parents, Thomas and Winifred Gaughan.1 According to the census in 1900, Thomas was a laborer.1 Thomas, age 28, appeared on the US Census of 1910 living at History Alley, Archbald, Lackawanna County, Pennsylvania,in the household of his parents, Thomas and Winifred Gaughan.3 According to the census in 1910, Thomas was a laborer in the coal industry.3 He died on 28 April 1915 at the home of his mother, Archbald, Lackawanna County, Pennsylvania, at age 33 from cirrhosis of the liver.2,4 Thomas's obituary of 29 April 1915, reads:

Thomas Gaughan Dead


Thomas Gaughan, aged 33, well known in this city, died after a two years' illness of rheumatism yesterday morning at the home of his mother, Mrs. Winifred Gaughan, at Archbald. Besides his mother is survived, by the following brothers:' P. H. Gaughan hotel keeper of Kingston, John, Michael and William of Archbald.

Thomas was buried on 1 May 1915 at Saint Thomas Aquinas Cemetery, Archbald, Lackawanna County, Pennsylvania.2
