Waltheof II of Huntingdon, Northampton, and Northumberland was born in 1045.1 He was the son of Siward the Great Biornasson ~ Earl of Northumbria, Northampton, and Huntingdon and Ælflæd II of Northumberland. He was a Saxon, but held in high regard by the Conqueror. Thus, it was King William I who gave his niece's hand in marriage.2,3
