     Virginia Delight Lynd was born on 21 February 1898 at Sisseton, Roberts County, South Dakota.1,2,3 She was the daughter of The Rev. James Lynd Jr. and Anne Monson. Virginia, age 2, appeared on the US Census of 1900 living at Bossko, Roberts County, South Dakota,in the household of her parents, James and Anne Lynd.4 Delight was ¼ Whapeton Sioux from the Lake Traverse Reservation, the Sisseton Agency according to the 1905 Indian Census Rolls.5 Virginia, age 21 years, appeared on the US Census of 1920 at Cleveland, Cuyahoga County, Ohio, living with the Savage family.6

Virginia Delight Lynd, age 28, married Elmer Francis Roy, age 26 , son of Joseph Roy and Evangalina Manny, on 17 June 1926 at the Grant, Washington Couonty, Minnesota.

Virginia, age 31 years, and Elmer Roy, age 30 years, appeared on the US Census of 1930 at 2343 Homer Avenue, Dallas, Dallas County, Texas.9 Virginia, age 41 years, and Elmer Roy, age 40 years, appeared on the US Census of 1940 at Noble Road, Cleveland Heights, Cuyahoga County, Ohio.8 Virginia, age 51 years, and Elmer Roy, age 50 years, appeared on the US Census of 1950 at 21761 Maydale Street, Euclid, Cuyahoga County, Ohio, His father lived with them.1 Virginia Delight Lynd died on 14 April 1987 at Fort Lauderdale, Broward County, Florida, at age 89.10,11
