Milton Clark Woodman was born on 8 October 1844 at Auburn, Maine.1,2,3,4,5,6
He was the son of Deacon Greenleaf Hatch Woodman and Dorothy E. Dunham. Milton, age 5, appeared on the US Census of 1850 living at Auburn, Maine,in the household of his parents, Greenleaf Hatch and Dorothy E. Woodman; According to the census, their real estate was valued at $4,000 and their personal estate at $1,000.7 Milton, age 15, appeared on the US Census of 1860 living at Auburn, Maine,in the household of his parents, Greenleaf Hatch and Dorothy E. Woodman.8 He enlisted in the 4th Regiment and the 62ed Regiment Massachusetts Volunteer Infantry. Milton reenlisted 7 April 1865 and was discharged 5 May 1865. He was a shoemaker when he enlisted. After his death, he wife received a pension based on his service.3,9,10,11
Milton Clark Woodman, age 21, married Sarah Osgood, age 19 , daughter of Orlando F. Osgood and Almira Jane Fellows, on 2 July 1866.
Milton and Sarah were seperated after 1873.3 Miltonmoved to Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, circa 1874.3 Milton was employed by the United Shoe Machinery Corporation after 1874 at Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.3 Milton, age 35 years, appeared on the US Census of 1880 at 320 West Side Crown Street, Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. He was a shoemaker. and was listed as single. He was listed as living in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania on the 1890 Veteran's Schedule.10 He died on 4 September 1919 at Rochester, Monroe County, New York, at age 74.5 Milton was buried at Davis Cemetery, East Auburn, Maine.5
