Elmer Whitney appeared as Head of Household with Grace, his wife, on the United States Census of 1920 at 77 North Main Street, Orange, Massachusetts.1 According to the Federal Census in 1920, Elmer was a laborer in a machine shop.1 He died on 14 February 1961 at Athol, Massachusetts, at age 96.
