     Mary Margaret Sahr was born on 1 August 1918 at Millville, Allegheny County, Pennsylvania.1,2,3,4 She was the daughter of Louis Leo Sahr and Elizabeth Eleanor Pschirer. Mary, age 16 months, appeared on the US Census of 1920 living at 1223 Thackers Street, McKees Rocks, Allegheny County, Pennsylvania,in the household of her parents, Louis Leo and Elizabeth Eleanor Sahr.5 Mary, age 11, appeared on the US Census of 1930 living at 2620 Glasgow Street, Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania,in the household of her parents, Louis Leo and Elizabeth Eleanor Sahr.6 As of 1 December 1939,her married name was Klingensmith.

Mary Margaret Sahr, age 21, married Lawrence Colin Klingensmith, age 24 , son of George Klingensmith and Stella Gallagher, on 1 December 1939.

Mary, age 21 years, and Lawrence, age 24 years, appeared on the US Census of 1940 on 381 Pershing Avenue, Leechburg, Armstrong County, Pennsylvania.7 Mary, age 31 years, and Lawrence Klingensmith, age 34 years, appeared on the US Census of 1950 at 242 Kennedy Avenue, Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania.8 Mary Margaret Sahr died on 17 October 2000 at Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, at age 82.1,4,9,3 Mary's obituary of 19 October 2000, reads:

On Tues., Oct. 17, 2000, Mary M. (Sahr) Klingensmith, age 82, of Ben Avon, formerly of the North Side; wife of the late Lawrence Klingensmith; beloved mother of Lawrence Jr. and his wife Sarah of Great Falls VA, Thomas of Lancaster PA and Mary Ellen Stalczynski and her husband Gene of Ben Avon; sister of William Sahr of FL, Anna Scully of Pgh. and Nancy Liszka of Jamestown PA and the late Louis Sahr, Elizabeth Bufalini and Caroline Scully; also survived by eight grandchildren and five great grandchildren. Mrs. Klingensmith was a retired Female Officer at the Allegheny County Jail. In her retirement, she was "Grandma Mary" to many children in the Ben Avon area. She was an active member of the Sheraden Sr. Citizen Center and an enthusiastic bingo player at the Ohio Twp. V.F.D. Friends received Thurs. 7-9 pm and Fri. 2-4 and 7-9 pm LAWRENCE T. MILLER FUNERAL HOME, INC., A PURSUIT OF EXCELLENCE AWARD FIRM, 460 Lincoln Ave., Bellevue. Mass of Christian Burial celebrated in the Church of the Assumption, Bellevue, Sat. at 11:30 am. Memorial contributions may be made to the Good Samatarian Hospice of Wexford PA.
