Betty (Long) Sahr
     Betty Mae Long was born on 15 July 1924 at Greenville, Mercer County, Pennsylvania.1,2 She was the daughter of Edgar William Long and Lillian Glady Smith. Betty, age 5, appeared on the US Census of 1930 living at 26 Union Street, Greenville, Mercer County, Pennsylvania,in the household of her parents, Edgar William and Lillian Glady Long.3 Betty, age 15, appeared on the US Census of 1940 living at 28 Seventh Avenue, Greenville, Mercer County, Pennsylvania,in the household of her parents, Edgar William and Lillian Glady Long.4 As of 6 February 1942,her married name was Sahr.

Betty Mae Long, age 17, married Louis Albert Sahr, age 22 , son of Louis Leo Sahr and Elizabeth Eleanor Pschirer, on 6 February 1942 at the Jeffersonville, Clark County, Indiana.

Betty, age 25 years, and Louis Sahr, age 30 years, appeared on the US Census of 1950 at South Shenango Township, Crawford County, Pennsylvania.8 Betty Mae Long died on 27 February 2016 at Columbus, Franklin County, Ohio, at age 91.2 Betty's obituary of 1 March 2016, reads:

COLUMBUS: Betty M. Sahr, 91, passed away on Saturday, February 27, 2016 in Columbus, OH. She was born on July 15, 1924 in Greenville, PA to Edgar and Lillian Long.

Betty is preceded in death by her husband, Louis Sahr; son, Gary Sahr; and her parents.

She is survived by sons, Louis (Jeannine) Sahr, and David Sahr; grandchildren, Katie (Paul) Chmiel and Judd (Jana) Sahr; great-grandchildren, Crickette, Lillian and Mila; former daughter-in-law, Kay (Sahr) Wages; and many other loving family members and friends.

Family will receive friends on Thursday, March 3, 2016 from 2:00pm to 5:00pm at Newcomer Funeral Home, NE Chapel, 3047 East Dublin- Granville Road, Columbus, Ohio 43231.
