Rance Joseph Whelpley

     Rance Joseph Whelpley was born on 29 December 1929 at Massachusetts.^1,2,3,4 He was the son of Edward Horace Whelpley and Grace Evelen Seymour. Rance appeared on the US Census of 1930 living at 37 Jay Street, Boston, Massachusetts,in the household of his parents, Grace Evelen and Edward Horace Seymour.⁵ Rance appeared on the US Census of 1940 living at 37 Jay Street, Boston, Massachusetts,in the household of his parents, Edward Horace and Grace Evelen Whelpley.¹ Rance appeared on the US Census of 1950 living at 220 Revere Street, Boston, Massachusetts,in the household of his parents, Edward Horace and Grace Evelen Whelpley.⁶ He served in the Army during the Korean War as a PFC.^3,4 Rance Joseph Whelpley and Geraldine Ann Mroz obtained a marriage license on 12 July 1955 at Aurora, Arapahoe County, Colorado.⁷

Rance Joseph Whelpley, age 25, married Geraldine Ann Mroz, age 18 , daughter of Paul Joseph Mroz and Dorothy Jakubczak, on 11 December 1955 at the Aurora, Arapahoe County, Colorado.^8,7 In March 1964 Rance lived at Athol, Massachusetts, at the time of his father, Edward Whelpley's death.⁹ Rance and Geraldine were divorced on 30 July 1986 at Harris County, Texas.¹⁰ In 2007, the year Rance died, he lived at Webster, Harris County, Texas.² He died on 29 May 2007 at Webster, Harris County, Texas, at age 77.^2,3,4,11 He was cremated, and his ashes interred at Houston National Cemetery, Houston, Harris County, Texas.^3,4
