    • History: 1644; He sued Robert Mendum for goods which his wife had brought for him from England, but did not deliver to him, using them for themselves. His suit was successful and he was granted £6.
    • Religion: 1651; He was a Quaker, and was in court 7 October 1651 for not attending church on Sundays. Later in December 1657, Robert Huchin, a Quaker preacher, held a meeting in his house. The authorities heard of it, and dispatched the constable. Arthur helped Robert Huchen to escape, but Arthur was arrested the next day and jailed. On 2 March 1657/58, he was fined £9 and bound for good behavior. He refused to pay the fine and was sent back to jail. On 1 June 1658, he admitted to having "done evil" and was released.
    • History: 6 Feb 1654/55; He was foreman of a coroner's jury looking into the death of John Walker. The jury found that the boy, the servant of Robert Latham, Robert, had died from cruelty and over work.
