In 1265 he was taken prisoner again by the future King Edward I at Kenilworth just before the royalist victory of Evesham. In May 1266 he regained his freedom once more but again defeated by royalist forces at Chesterfield , following which he made his peace with King Henry.
    • Land/House: 1 May 1276; He paid the King homage for his lands on 1 May 1276.
    • Military: 1277; In 1277 he campaigned in Wales.
