    When his brother, Arthal, was deposed, Elydnog was placed on the throne. He restored Arthal to the throne, and Arthal ruled for the next ten years until he died. Elydnog then succeeded to the throne, but was imprisoned by his two younger brothers. After their deaths, he again held the throne for the next 21 years until his death.
