    • Rebellion: 1098; In 1098, he joined with William II against his brother, but lost. In 1118 he claimed the countship, however Henry I denied him the countship. Amauri then led a revolt against the king. They were later reconciled by Theobald, Count of Champagne. In 1123, Amauri joined Waleran Count of Meulan in a revolt, where he was captured. His capture, William de Grandcourt, refused to surrender him, and joined him in exile. By the end of the year, he was again reconciled to the king.
