      James H. "Jocko" Myers James H. "Jocko" Myers, 78, of 414 St. Clair St., Latrobe, died Tuesday, March 13, 1990, in Latrobe Area Hospital. He was born Feb. 19, 1912, in Latrobe, a son of the late Joseph L. and Anna Geiger Myers. He was a retired steelworker from Latrobe Steel Co. He was a member of Holy Family Catholic Church, the Holy Name and Altar societies of the church, the FO Eagles Aerie 01188 and the Frontier Club, Latrobe. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Regina Quinn Myers, in 1960; a son, John Robert, in 194; four brothers, Paul, William, Joseph and Charles, and a sister, Elisabeth Bercel. He is survived by six sons, James H. Jr. and Thomas J., both of Latrobe, Kenneth F. of Derry, Richard P. of Bradenville, Frederick A. of Houston, Texas, and Joseph R. of Fremont, Calif.; four daughters, Sister Connie Myers of Gate City, Va Mrs. Eric (Rosemary) Marnell of Cape Neddick, Maine, Regina Myers of Pittsburgh and Kathleen Fenell of Bradenville; a brother, Raymond of North Wales, Pa.; a sister, Mrs. Chester (Madeline) Ludwig of Latrobe; 17 grandchildren, and three great-grandchildren. Friends will be received from 7 to 9 p.m. Wednesday and 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday in Dell-Frederick Funeral Home, 1543 Ligonier St., Latrobe. A blessing service will be held at 9:30 a.m. Friday in the funeral home followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. in Holy Family Church, Latrobe. Interment will be in St. Vincent Cemetery, Unity Township. The FO Eagles will meet at 7:30 p.m. Thursday in the funeral home to conduct a service.       Mrs. Regina Quinn Myers, 41, of 414 St. Clair St., died at 3 a.m. Thursday, March 17, 1960, in the West Penn Hospital, Pittsburgh. Born. November 6, 1918, she was the daughter of the late Regina Schultz Quinn and Mark Quinn. She was a member of Holy Family Church and the Altar and Rosary Societies. She is survived by her husband, James H. Myers, and the following children: Sister Mary Corrine of Pittsburgh; James H. Jr., Kenneth Francis, Richard ' Paul, Thomas Joseph, Rosemary, Frederick L. Regina Alice, Kathleen, Joseph and John, all at home. Also surviving is one sister, Mrs. Frank Elizabeth) Schisler, Mt. Washington. Friends will be received at the Stader Funeral Home beginning Friday. The family will receive friends from 3 to 5 and 7 to 10 p.m. A requiem high mass will be conducted at 9 a.m. Monday in Holy Family Church. Interment will be in St. Vincent Cemetery.

She was an active member of the Bethany United Methodist Church, Latrobe, where she sang in the church choir and was a member of the Crusaders Sunday School Class. She was also a member of the Latrobe Community Chorus and the Order of the Eastern Star Chapter 221. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husbands, Conrad L. Gordon and Ralph W. Sanders; three brothers, Paul, Charles and George Brindel; a sister, Ethel Mae Keller; and a stepson, Lee Roy Gordon. She is survived by three daughters, Betty Myers and husband, Kenneth, of Derry, Joanne Schandel and husband, Richard, of Derry, and Janet Moore and husband, Barry, of Tempe, Ariz.; a stepdaughter, Jean Hartzell of Port Arthur, Texas; nine grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; and a number of nieces and nephews.       Joseph L. Mysrs
      Joseph L. Myers, a life long resident of this vicinity, died at bis home, 335 Spring St., this morning at 7:30 o'clock, following a three weeks Ill ness with a heart condition. He. was born in'Unity Twp., a son of Lucas and Mary Huffman Myers and had he lived until the 28th of this month would have been 73 years of age. Mr. Myers was a' stone mason and was In the employ of the Pennsylvania Railroad Company for a time and later -worked for John Herrmann as a stone mason and bricklayer. His health has not been good of late years. He was a member of the Latrobe Council No. 940 Knights of Columbus and the Holy Name Society of the Holy Family church. Surviving are his widow, Mrs. Anna Myers and the: following children: Mrs. George Bercel, of Tarentum; Miss Madeline Myers, at home;' and Paul and Joseph Myers, of Lowellvllle. Ohio; James Myers, of Latrobe; Raymond Myers, of Cumberland. Md ; William Myers,. of Latrobe; and Charles, at home. A twin ' brother, Henry Myers, of Spring Street, and another brother, Charles, of Latrobe; and two sisters, Mrs. Herbert Morrison, of Clairton, and Miss Grace Myers, of Unity Twp. also survive. There are four grandchildren. Notice of funeral will be given later.

    • Obituary: 28 Sep 1936; Charles Henry Brindle, 45 years old, of 2621 Laveen street Latrobe, and a bother of Samuel and George Brindle of Connellsville, and engineer of the dinky engine at the Railway Steel Spring Company plant at Latrobe, died suddenly in the engine cab Saturday. He had not been feeling well since stricken with a heart attack four weeks ago but continued working. He had operated the engine onto the scales and when the brakeman signalled (sic) him to continue he slump over. Investigation revealed he was dead. Mr. Brindle, a veteran employe (sic) of the plant, where he had been working for 21 years, is survived by his wife, five children and these brothers and sisters: Robert of Springdale, George and Samuel of Conellsville, Howard of Altoona, Richard of Brenizer, Mrs. Ralph St Clair of Springdale and Mrs. M. McGinnis of Tarentum. The funeral service will be held Tuesday afternoon at 2:30 o'clock at the United Brethren Church at Latrobe in charge of Rev.
