She had been ill for six months. Bom in Montpelier, Aug. 15, 1874, she was a daughter of Joseph and Eliza (Pratt) Mat thews. She spent her childhood here and attended local schools. She. was married to William O. Gokey in Northfield. He died in 1947. Most of their married life was spent in Boston, Mrs. Gokey was a member of St. Augustine's Roman Cath olic Church. She leaves seven grandchil dren, 19 great - grandchildren, and two nieces, Mrs. Harry White of Montpelier and Mrs. Elizabeth Silver of Burlington. Funeral services w i 1 1 be held at 10 a.m. Tuesday in St. Augustine's Roman Catholic Church. Burial will be in the Elmwood Cemetery, Northfield. Friends may call at the Barber 4 Lanier Funeral Home, 139 Main St., Montpelier, Monday, 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Prayers will be recited at the funeral home Monday evening.
