There his name disappears for 15 years, until 1650. Possibly, he had returned to England, married, and then returned to New England with his family around 1649.
    • Land/House: 1650, York, York County, Maine; Robert Edge was granted land in 1650 in York which was confirmed 3 July 1653.
    • History: 22 Nov 1652, York, York County, Maine; He took the the Oath of Allegiance.
    • History: Jun 1655; A complaint was lodged against Robert Edge that he had not sought apprenticeship for his children. The Selectman agreed to make sure that it was done.
    • Moved to: 1661, Kittery, York County, Maine; Robert and Florence removed to Kittery, settling on the land of Capt. Walter Barefoot without his permission.

    Other Events and Attributes:

    • History: 1654; She gossiped that the wife of John Parker was smitten with Richard Banks. She was taken to court for slander, and being on probation for a prior offense, was sentenced "to reeave tenn lashes on the bare skine" or pay £10. It appears that all she paid was 5/ as the officer's fee, and was let off. Possibly she was lashed, but if so, there is no record of the punishment having been carried out.
    • Moved to: 1661, Kittery, York County, Maine; Robert and Florence removed to Kittery, settling on the land of Capt. Walter Barefoot without his permission.
    • Residence: 1690, Kittery, York County, Maine; She was living at the home of Anne Crockett, her board being partly paid by Joshua Downing, Florence being the grandmother of Joshua's wife. At that time she was known as Gamar Edge.
