• Military: 15 May 1777, Oakham, Worcester County, Massachusetts; Enlisted May 15, 1777, in Capt. Reed's Co., Col. Alden's Regt., for a term of three years in the Continental Army. He was killed August 25, 1777, while on the expedition for the relief of Fort Schuyler.

• Estate Admin: 9 Jul 1778, Oakham, Worcester County, Massachusetts; Notice of her appointment as administratrix was published July 9, 1778, and on July 29 his estate was sold at auction, consisting of between five and seven acres of land lying on the county road from Rutland to Hardwick, with a dwelling house and a frame for a blacksmith shop. He had also one pair of blacksmith's bellows, a sledge, vise, tongs, and shop tools.

He evidently abandoned his Narragansett rights, as the lots drawn in his name in Greenwich were sold for taxes, Sept. 5, 1750.

Susanna (daughter of Jacob Leonard and Susanna King) was born on 24 Dec 1683 in Weymouth, Norfolk County, Massachusetts; died on 19 Nov 1764 in Bridgewater, Plymouth County, Massachusetts. • History: 1675, Worcester, Worcester County, Massachusetts; According to Jennings (1899) "The tradition is that he was with the earliest settlers of 'Quinsigamond' (Worcester); if so, he was driven off as were the others, by the Indians in 1675. The family may have tarried for a while in Marlborough, but probably during most of King Philip's War were in Bridgewater, as that was considered more secure from the attacks of the Indians than the newer towns. Possibly they may have lived a short time in Mendon, but on the second attempt to settle Quinsigamond, now named Worcester, in 1684-5 we find him and his family located in the vicinity of what is now called Quinsigamond Lake. They were, however, so troubled by the raids of the Indians, that them became discouraged and removed to Bridgewater about May 1, 1693, for the town records show that at this date they were 'warned out'"
