1. Frances Cheney (daughter of Sir Thomas Cheney, KG and first wife). Frances married William CheneyEngland. William (son of William Cheney of Thorngumbald and Anne Holme) was buried in 1607/08 in Boston, Lincolnshire, England. [Group Sheet] [Family Chart]
Children:- John Cheney of Bennington was born about 1568 in Boston, Lincolnshire, England; was buried on 16 Mar 1623/24 in Benington, Hertfordshire, England.
2. Sir Thomas Cheney, KG Other Events and Attributes:
- History: Sir Thomas was the Lord Warden of the Cinque Ports, treasurer of the King's household and a knight of the garter. At the meeting of Henry VIII and Frances I, Sir Thomas was one of the challengers against all gentlemen. The contests took place over a span of thirty days. When Edward VI died, Sir Thomas espoused the interests of Mary I. He was summoned to the privy council in the first year of Elizabeth I, and died 8 December that year.
